English Country Dance Atlanta
English Country Dance Atlanta (or ECDA) is a welcoming dance community dedicated to the enjoyment of English Country Dancing in a friendly, informal setting. New dancers are always welcome, and no experience is necessary to enjoy this joyous, lively dance genre set to elegant music. Each dance is taught and walked through -- come alone or bring a friend!
COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT
(DONATIONS SOUGHT FOR CALLERS, BANDS AND SOUND)
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, ECDA canceled its regular monthly dances beginning in March 2020 and continuing for the indefinite future. Moreover, because the health and safety of our
community is the most important thing, we have canceled our Fandango! 2020 dance weekend as well. The very nature of social dancing makes
containment of illness virtually impossible, especially in the large group assembly that is Fandango! We hope that everyone will join us when we start dancing again. In the meantime, we hope you will remember that our callers, musicians and sound engineers rely on ECDA as part of their income. To that end, we are seeking donations to help us continue to pay our staff. Please consider making a donation, no matter how large or small. You can either click on the donate button (below) to pay online or you can email us at ecda.fandango@gmail.com to contact our treasurer about snailmailing a check.
ECDA holds dances on (most) First & Third Sunday afternoon of the month in Decatur, Georgia. Our dances are taught and led by: Maggie Cowan, Susan Davis & Scott Russell, Cis Hinkle, Seth Tepfer & others!
FANDANGO! DANCE WEEKENDS !!!
ECD Atlanta holds an annual dance weekend, Fandango!, in September of each year.
Fandango! 2020 IS CANCELED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS
